The term “cup of Joe” comes from the American soldiers who were known as GI Joes during WWII. They were big drinkers of coffee!

The tropical islands of Hawaii hold the pleasure of being the only state in the U.S. to commercially grow coffee. With Hawaii’s optimal weather for harvesting coffee beans, they produce around 8,000 pounds of coffee yearly.

Johann Sebastian Bach, the famous composer, was so in love with coffee that he once wrote a cantata about his coffee addiction. It’s titled “Schweigt stille, plaudert nicht, BWV 211”.
